FROM JAMES COURTNAGE (At funeral) Fun, funny, witty, articulate, knowledgeable, crafty and a very unique personality are just a few words that spring to mind when I think about Chris. He was a young man that seemed to have an incredible thirst for knowledge and displayed a real passion for reading something I admired greatly about him. He was a bank of incredible facts and this was displayed many a time in a pub quiz. After being given a question where we would be scratching our heads for ages, we would all turn to Chris and cool as a cucumber the correct answer would come from his mouth with remarkable regularity. I believe life should be a fun experience and I believed that was Chris's attitude. He would very much be at the centre of a good time, his witty one liners, snappy comments and infectious laugh would often have people in his company in fits of laughter, there was rarely a dull moment with Chris. Chris and I had a saying, 'How long have I known you James?' very often sealed with a wet sloppy kiss to the cheek. I would reply 'Too long mate!' In reality it wasn't long enough. But in those 22 years I went through so much with Chris : school; all of our highs and lows (and there wer a few of those) - I had a special friend that I held in extremely high regard. He touched us all in so many different ways with his unique infectious character and there is a huge gap in my life but I have so many amazing personal memories as do you all of a wonderful young man who will never be forgotten. I love you mate.
